Beyond the expected
Beautiful places are easy to show. I want to share the Venice that stays with you.
We may stand beneath the mosaics of St Mark’s, enter the rooms where the Republic governed, or cross a quiet residential campo. The itinerary matters — but so do conversation, curiosity and the pleasure of having time.

One Hour on Venice’s Most Beautiful Waterway
Venice was built to be approached — and understood — from the water.
This private one-hour cruise offers the rare pleasure of seeing the city from the perspective for which its palaces, bridges and façades were designed. From the Bacino di San Marco, we enter the Grand Canal and slip into quieter waterways where daily life still unfolds at water level.
Aboard a classic Venetian wooden motorboat, you travel in comfort while the city reveals itself at an unhurried pace. A glass of prosecco is offered on board as elegant palaces rise directly from the water, low bridges pass overhead and Venice becomes a living city rather than a distant postcard.
Intimate, refined and memorable, the experience is equally suited to a first encounter with Venice, a return visit or a beautiful pause within a longer day.

The route
The passage through smaller canals may be adjusted according to tide height and navigation conditions.
We begin where lagoon and city meet. The domes of Santa Maria della Salute and the monumental waterfront introduce Venice as a city conceived to be seen from the water.
Palazzo Dario, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, Palazzo Barbaro and Palazzo Franchetti Cavalli reveal façades designed for waterborne arrival before we pass beneath the Accademia Bridge.
Palazzo Grassi, Ca’ Rezzonico, Ca’ Foscari, Palazzo Balbi, Palazzo Loredan and Palazzo Malipiero allow us to read centuries of ambition, taste and transformation along Venice’s principal street.
At Rialto, architecture, movement and trade come together. Whenever tide and navigation permit, smaller canals add an intimate final chapter: bridges overhead, working boats and the quiet rhythms of everyday Venice.

Your guide
I’m Romy — a Venetian and a licensed guide since 2016. For me, guiding is not simply about knowing the city, but about helping another person truly encounter it.
My way of reading Venice grew from years of study. At Ca’ Foscari University, I graduated with honours in Languages and Anglo-American and Hispano-American Literatures, and later earned a Master’s degree with honours in History of the Arts and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. I then completed a postgraduate diploma in Theological Hermeneutics of Christian Art at the Theological Faculty of Central Italy, also with honours.
These different paths — languages, literature, art history and the theological hermeneutics of Christian art — allow me to connect places with the ideas, rituals and human stories that gave them meaning. Yet our time together remains personal and effortless: a genuine conversation, paced around you, in the city that has formed my gaze.
