Private tours with a Venetian guide

Venice,personally.

Venice has been the landscape of my life — and it still has the power to surprise me. Let me introduce you to the city I know, with depth, warmth and the freedom of a day designed entirely around you.

Discover the experiences

A private encounter with Venice.

Beautiful places are easy to show. I want to share the Venice that stays with you.

We may stand beneath the mosaics of St Mark’s, enter the rooms where the Republic governed, or cross a quiet residential campo. The itinerary matters — but so do conversation, curiosity and the pleasure of having time.

Islands, Craft and the World Beyond the City

The Venetian
Lagoon

7 hoursPrivate water limousineUp to 8 guests

Venice is not an island standing alone. It is the most extraordinary expression of an entire lagoon.

This private day leaves the city behind without ever leaving its story. Travelling by wooden water limousine, we cross the open lagoon to understand the geography, skills and communities that made Venice possible.

Murano, Burano and the northern lagoon are not treated as a collection of picturesque stops. Each island reveals a different form of Venetian intelligence: the mastery of matter, the patience of handwork, the life of small communities and the delicate relationship between land and water.

The boat gives the day its freedom. We can slow down, change perspective and experience the lagoon as Venetians always have: not as empty space between destinations, but as a world in itself.

Water is not the distance between the islands.

It is what connects them.

Across the
northern lagoon

The order may change with the season, opening times and the rhythm of the lagoon.

  1. 01 · Leaving Venice

    The lagoon from the water

As the city recedes, its setting becomes clear. Channels, islands, tides and distant profiles reveal the environment from which Venice emerged and on which it still depends.

  2. 02 · The intelligence of fire

    Murano

Inside a working glass furnace, we observe a Maestro vetraio shape molten glass. The encounter opens a story of technical knowledge, experimentation, guarded skills and objects desired across the world.

  3. 03 · Colour, community and patience

    Burano

Beyond its celebrated colours, Burano is a lived island with its own scale and traditions. We encounter lace-making through a family connected to this delicate craft and the knowledge transmitted through generations.

  4. 04 · Origins and stillness

    Torcello and Mazzorbo

The quieter northern lagoon offers a final change of rhythm. Ancient Torcello and the landscape of Mazzorbo bring us closer to the earliest settlements, cultivated land and the fragile balance between nature and human presence.

Lunch in
the lagoon.

We allow time for lunch on one of the islands, choosing the setting according to the route and your preferences. Lunch, drinks, purchases and any admission tickets are not included, leaving the day flexible and personal.

Venice shaped
the way I see.

I’m Romy — a Venetian and a licensed guide since 2016. For me, guiding is not simply about knowing the city, but about helping another person truly encounter it.

My way of reading Venice grew from years of study. At Ca’ Foscari University, I graduated with honours in Languages and Anglo-American and Hispano-American Literatures, and later earned a Master’s degree with honours in History of the Arts and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. I then completed a postgraduate diploma in Theological Hermeneutics of Christian Art at the Theological Faculty of Central Italy, also with honours.

These different paths — languages, literature, art history and the theological hermeneutics of Christian art — allow me to connect places with the ideas, rituals and human stories that gave them meaning. Yet our time together remains personal and effortless: a genuine conversation, paced around you, in the city that has formed my gaze.
