Tour & Itinerary Review
An expert reading of an existing Venice programme: cultural coherence, rhythm, geography and the relationship between individual visits and the story of the journey as a whole.
Begin a conversationThe Language of Venice · by Romy Rigattieri
I help travel professionals create Venice itineraries that make cultural sense — and give their clients a story worth remembering.

Venice is not simply a destination.
It is a cultural language.
A specialist perspective
I work with travel designers, agencies, DMCs and cultural organisations seeking a more intelligent way to present Venice. I bring the perspective of a Venetian guide and researcher, connecting history, art, architecture, ritual and urban space into one legible journey.
What this changes
Rialto → Doge’s Palace → St Mark’s
Rialto shows how commerce generated wealth. The Doge’s Palace reveals how the Republic organised that wealth into institutions and power. St Mark’s shows how ritual, image and sacred space made that power visible. The itinerary remains recognisable; its meaning becomes coherent.
Professional services
An expert reading of an existing Venice programme: cultural coherence, rhythm, geography and the relationship between individual visits and the story of the journey as a whole.
A clear interpretative thread for agencies and travel designers who want Venice to feel meaningful rather than assembled from a sequence of beautiful places.
The development of private cultural experiences around a question, an idea or a particular way of encountering the city, created for a specific audience and context.
Research and written cultural material for programmes, editorial projects and professional communication requiring accuracy, depth and a distinctly Venetian perspective.
Understanding Venice beyond its beauty.
Every collaboration begins with the same question: what should this journey allow the traveller to understand, feel and remember?
Why Romy
Born between San Marco and Rialto, I have worked as a licensed guide since 2016. My two degrees from Ca’ Foscari University and postgraduate study in theological hermeneutics allow me to interpret Venice across disciplines — while keeping every proposal clear, engaging and useful for the traveller.
A conversation, not a package
Projects are shaped around the professional context, the intended audience and the depth of research required. Services are proposed individually; prices are not published.
